India’s first 3D Museum

Museums in India are about keeping quiet, no-touch displays and of course dead animals and collectibles from our past.

But what if you could take a bite from Adam’s apple, get kicked by Bruce Lee and be presented an Oscar from Royal hands? I am not kidding. India’s first 3D Museum that has opened in ECR Chennai gives you a totally different experience. Artist A P Shreethar has given his 24 images an extra third-dimension and this helps you to become a part of the painting itself. The art form is known as Trompe-l’oeil in French, and means to ‘deceive the eye.’ All the pictures are sketched on the wall. There is a line marking on the floor.  Visitors need to stand on the marking, and once they step on top of it, they become a part of the picture itself. Indeed, it was a memorable experience to be in a selfie taken by a monkey. Located at the Snow Kingdom in VGP Complex, it is yet another attraction in the beautiful beach way.
