Google street view’s India competitor

Wonobo. No it is not a new jargon of the Gen-y but a website developed by Mumbai brothers Sol and Sajid Malik. So what is Wonobo?

Do you remember the legal tangles that Google street view faced to provide a three dimensional interactive view of Indian states. Now Wonobo.com has done it! Yes now you can see 12 cities which will be scaled up to 54 cities in the future. The website also offers inside maps, direction and routing, walking tours, guides and stories.

In 1995 Sol and Sajid Malik founded Genesys International which is an advanced mapping, survey and geospatial services firm. Genesys had to painstakingly fulfil the government norms, including the defence ministry and the Survey of India. The Tourism Ministry is partnering with Genesys to create a walking tours platform. The company also soon plans to develop a mobile app. So if you want to get back the nostalgia of various places, if they exist, just wonobo it.
