India’s first online-only bicycle brand

Brooks was a popular brand of saddles marketed by TI Cycles in the 1950s and 1960s. In those times Tube Investments of India (TII) had several popular British brands for bicycles for the integrated in-house production of different components.

The corporate strategy group of Tube Investments recently launched India’s first exclusively ‘online’ bicycle brand Brooks. These cycles will be sold online on the e-store Nine models in the price range of Rs 5299 to Rs 10,625 will be available for both sexes and across age groups. Flipkart will also market these. Managing Director, TII, L Ramkumar, said that this will facilitate shopping online and doorstep delivery.

TII, part of the Rs 295 billion Murugappa group, has 17 manufacturing units in India and its product range includes bicycles, steel tubes, roller chains, metal formed products, gears…
