Book your water tanker

With temperatures skyrocketing, water is becoming dear. Most residences and office spaces in the city are dependent on water tankers for meeting their daily needs. The Chennai Metrowater does about 6000 trips and private water tankers make about 7000 trips a day to quench the city’s thirst. But getting a water truck is still a task. Presently, to request for a water lorry from the Chennai

Metrowater, residents need to register through the local water supply centres.

To make the process simpler, CMWSSB has introduced two new facilities. The first facility is to book a water tanker online via www.chennaimetrowater.com. On booking, a confirmation message will be sent to the mobile. If there is any delay, complaints can be made online. The second facility is an integrated registration centre set up in the CMWSSB headquarters. The centre can be reached by dialing: 044- 45674567.

The supply will be on a first-come-first-serve basis based on the seniority of the booking time. CMWSSB will also continue with the current method of booking through its local supply centres.
