Force Motors’ two new SUVs

With a focus on the rural market, Force Motors has launched two new SUV variants of Force One, the EX and SX.  “The onboard electronics are audited and validated by Mercedes-Benz Technologies, Germany and are powered by diesel engines produced under licence  from Daimler AG, Germany,” said Prasan Firodia, Managing Director, Force Motors while unveiling these large SUVs. The SUV has a 70 per cent localisation.

The company plans to re-jig its ratio of passenger to

goods vehicles to 80:20 by targeting a sales of 2500 vehicles by 2013-14 and 5000 vehicles by 2014-15.

Trying to capture the rural market, the seven seater vehicle is priced between Rs 8.99 lakh and Rs 11.71 lakh for the value conscious customer. For better reach, the company plans to double its dealership network from the current 25 by the fiscal.

From the current turnover of Rs 2700 crore, the company plans for Rs 10,000 crore turnover over the next five years.
