Missing, but not missing the top spot

I vividly remember a news video where a migrant couple who had just landed in Chennai Central station with their kid had lost that kid, at the wink of the eye. They ran pillar-to-post and yet the child remains untraced. Imagine the trauma of missing your child in a whisker. Chennai tops the states in the most number of missing children. Tamil Nadu has recorded 14,716 child missing cases between 2011 and 2015 and of this 17.57 per cent of cases are registered in Chennai. That totals to 2586 missing children between 2011 and 2015. Based on a recent case in Madras High Court where some road side dwellers have complained of their children missing, the court has ordered a CB-CID probe to chart a plan and to provide a solution to curb this menace. There is a possibility of a huge network that is involved in trafficking and also involving these kids in several anti-social practices. An immediate and efficient solution to curb this will help in the safety of the residents.
