Maruti Suzuki wins NIQR award

The 14th NIQR National Convention aiming to promote quality and reliability was held in Chennai on 20 and 21 June, 2014. At the end of the two-day convention, the NIQR Awards were presented by N Venkataramani, Chairman and MD, India Pistons Ltd to companies that have made outstanding contributions to quality.

Maruti Suzuki India bagged the NIQR-GKD award for Outstanding Organisation 2014. The 21st NIQR-Bajaj Auto Award for Outstanding Quality Man, was given to

L Ganesh, Chairman, Rane Group. The NIQR-Lucas-TVS award for Outstanding Service Organisation was presented to Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA), Gujarat, while, the NIQR-TVN Kiado for Outstanding Education Institution Award was given to Sasi Institute of Technology and Engineering. Anusham Industries was felicitated with NIQR-Susira Award for Outstanding Small Scale Industry.

Inaugurating the convention, B Muthuraman, Vice Chairman, Tata Steel said: “the survival of Indian Industry is pegged onto addressing Quality”.
