Inter-State boundary
Border markers in Karnataka-Andhra Pradesh border have reportedly been damaged by illegal mining that is happening in Bellary in Karnataka and Ananthapur in Andhra Pradesh. The states have decided to demarcate the borders. Thanks to the Britishers for the Deccan Survey Field Book in 1923 which will come in handy for the re-survey. The marking based on latitude and longitude has not been resorted to as it is considered unscientific. This task will be a challenging for the authorities of both the states.
