CII to set up tourism bureaus

ANDHRA PRADESH

CII to set up tourism bureaus

The CII will be tying up with the State Government to set up tourism offices in Vizag, Vijayawada and Tirupati. The first one is likely to come up this September. The brand image of Vizag as a tourist hot spot would be uppermost in the scheme of things. Ditto when it comes to  Vijayawada-Amaravati-Guntur region. This belt would be promoted as the new capital. Tirupati will naturally be showcased as a major religious centre. Tourism will be a significant money-spinner and like Singapore, the state will tap this with rare alacrity.

Early monsoon enlivens farmers

The first day of the agriculture season, aka Yeruvaka, saw drizzling all through the day. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu led the farmers of Chittavaram village of Narsapur Mandal in West Godavari district amidst much fanfare. He promised to provide a global market to the agricultural produce and said that the government will promote 26 varieties of crops and give them a world market. He asserted plans were on to turn the Krishna delta and Rayalaseema region into fertile agriculture lands.
