Industrial corridors to boost economy

“The Central government is keen to reduce logistics cost,” said  Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari at the Summit. “Port-led development is crucial for higher economic growth,” he added.  Gadkari  remarked that the Central government has taken up projects worth Rs 6000 crore and that works worth Rs 1665 crore have already been completed in AP.  He also announced a proposal for Visakhapatnam-Raipur road link and rail link under consideration. The AP government also got an additional Rs 1000 crore toward the Central Road Fund (CRF) as well as 30 road overbridges.
