KNPP with the grid

The first unit of the 21st  nuclear power reactor in the country, the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) is likely to be connected to the grid by this month end. The Atomic Energy Regulatory Board has approved to increase power generation by 50 per cent upto 500 MW. For reaching 750 MW, 900 MW and full 1,000 MW bookmark, the KNPP officials have to apply again for clearances.
