Inviting investments to Tamil Nadu

The Global Investors Meet, a two day event to showcase the strengths of Tamil Nadu, is scheduled in May 2015. The state has set apart Rs 100 crore for the event. The meet would be held at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam. “Since 2011, the state has signed MoUs worth Rs 31,0706 crore. We target investment to the tune of Rs 1 lakh crore from the GIM,” said P Thangamani, TN Minister of Industry.

Chief Minister O Paneerselvam pointed to appointing IAS officers to escort companies in getting clearances from the government through a single window system.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) works as a knowledge partner and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau (Guidance Bureau) will function as the Secretariat for conducting the event.
