Vijay was sworn-in as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister on Sunday.

Congratulating the new Chief Minister, Rafiq Ahmed, Chairman, Kothari Industrial Corporation Ltd. (KICL), said, “We are with you in taking Tamil Nadu forward. We are very confident that you will do everything to make Tamil Nadu one of the best states in the country in terms of economic and social development. We stand by you and will travel with you in making Tamil Nadu an iconic industrial destination.”

In a statement, Ramkumar Shankar, President of The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry, conveyed his best wishes to the new Government and expressed confidence in its leadership to steer the State towards greater economic prosperity, inclusive growth, socio-economic advancement, and sustainable development.

“We are confident that the new Government will continue to foster a progressive, stable, and business-friendly ecosystem that promotes trade, industry, investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship. A strong and collaborative partnership between the Government and the business community will be crucial in accelerating economic development, enhancing competitiveness, attracting investments, and generating employment opportunities across the State,” he said.

MCCI expressed optimism that the Government would continue to focus on key priorities such as industrial growth, ease of doing business, infrastructure development, support for MSMEs, agriculture and rural development, skill enhancement, digital technology and digital governance, export promotion, sustainability, and investment facilitation, thereby further strengthening Tamil Nadu’s position as one of India’s leading economic and industrial destinations.

The Chamber further reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Government in addressing policy formation, promoting sustainable and inclusive economic initiatives, and contributing meaningfully to the State’s long-term socio-economic development agenda and overall growth trajectory.

“Tamil Nadu has always been one of India’s most progressive and economically vibrant states. To sustain and accelerate this growth trajectory, urban development, infrastructure expansion and ease of doing business will play a defining role in the years ahead. Strong housing demand, industrial growth, mobility infrastructure and expanding urban centres reflect the immense opportunity before the state,” Habib WS, President, CREDAI, Tamil Nadu, said.

“At the same time, there is a growing expectation for systems that reduce delays, eliminate corruption, improve transparency and create greater confidence among citizens, businesses, entrepreneurs and investors. A governance ecosystem built on efficiency, integrity and speed will significantly contribute to Tamil Nadu’s next phase of growth,” he said.

“The people of Tamil Nadu have voted for change and we hope that TVK will deliver on its promises and justify the faith that the people have placed in them,” said Mehul H. Doshi, President, CREDAI Chennai.

“Tamil Nadu is a high-performing state with high expectations. The priorities are clear: growth, jobs, education and inclusivity. The numbers may have been worked out after the results, but what truly matters now is delivery. Because leadership isn’t tested by how you reach the majority, but by what you do with it after taking oath,” Suresh Kalpathi, CEO, Veranda Learning, said.
