The Andhra Pradesh government, on Saturday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the chip-making major to build a strong and inclusive AI ecosystem in the state.

As part of the partnership, NVIDIA will support curriculum development and training programmes, enabling 10,000 engineering students to receive specialised AI skill training over the next two years, according to a tweet by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

In addition, 500 AI start-ups from Andhra Pradesh will gain access to NVIDIA’s prestigious Inception Programme, providing them with essential resources and global exposure to accelerate innovation and growth.

Looking ahead, the state government plans to establish India’s first dedicated AI University in collaboration with NVIDIA. The institution will focus on cutting-edge research, advanced infrastructure, and industry partnerships to foster AI-driven innovation.

From education and skilling to research and entrepreneurship, the initiative is a major step toward realising the vision of a technologically advanced and prosperous “Swarna Andhra Pradesh,” the Chief Minister said.
