AI to aid Shriram in wealth solutions

As part of its newly-launched wealth management arm, Shriram Wealth Ltd., the Shriram Group is positioning artificial intelligence (AI) at the centre of its advisory offering. Ostensibly, the objective is to personalise and scale wealth solutions for fast-growing affluent investor base in the country.

The company, a 50:50 joint venture with Sanlam group of South Africa, is building a digital-first platform where AI will drive real-time portfolio recommendations, sharper risk profiling and consolidated reporting — all tailored to individual client goals and behaviour, the company said.
Vikas Satija, managing director and chief executive officer, Shriram Wealth, claimed that, “AI is not just a support tool — it is fundamental to how we deliver advice at scale while keeping it personal.”
The firm’s technology stack was designed to combine algorithmic intelligence with human advisory, allowing relationship managers (RMs) to respond faster and more accurately to client needs, he said.

‘The AI platform will be especially critical as Shriram expands into the emerging affluent segment, where large volumes of clients require efficient yet nuanced support,” he said. “For the emerging high net worth individuals (HNIs), AI-assisted journeys will ensure both speed and personalisation without compromising quality,” he added.
This feature will help in digital on-boarding, such as portfolio consolidation, rebalancing tools and a forward-looking analytics dashboard. Over time, the platform will evolve to provide predictive insights, enabling proactive advisory and automated adjustments based on market movements and client life-stage changes.
This technology-driven approach, aligns with Shriram Wealth’s open architecture model, where clients can access the best products from multiple asset managers, rather than being restricted to in-house options.
As India’s wealth market scales toward a projected USD 10 trillion by 2047, Shriram Wealth’s AI-driven strategy positions it to serve both volume and value — delivering institutional-grade advisory with retail-level accessibility.
