Coinciding with the Auto Aftermarket Show, it attracted around 260 exhibitors, according to Arun Singh, Project Director, Future Market Events. The combined Auto Components Show and India Fastener Show spotlighted India’s fastener manufacturers as strategic drivers in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.

The twin events featured exhibitors, including over 150 fastener-specific companies, and attracted upwards of 15,000 trade visitors, affirming Chennai’s expanding role in global value chains.

Nandambakkam’s Chennai Trade Centre, situated on the city’s industrial axis near the airport, offered optimal logistics and connectivity for global attendees. The event spotlighted a wide spectrum of automotive products — from precision-engineered engine and chassis components to EV parts, electricals, lubricants, tires, wheels, body components and services.

Supported by the Emission Control Manufacturers’ Association (ECMA), the trade show underscored a growing emphasis on sustainable and emission-compliant solutions.

The India Fastener Show joined forces with the Auto Components and Auto. Over 150 fastener manufacturers showcased 10,000+ products, covering bolts, nuts, screws, rivets, washers, precision auto fasteners, and manufacturing machinery.

A curated VIP programme hosted top OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and Tier-1 supply companies – such as TVS, Hyundai and Ashok Leyland – ensuring high-impact B2B match-making.

Industry insiders predict significant momentum driven by:

EV and emission-compliant tech: Diverse showcase of· battery systems, advanced control modules and aftermarket EV servicing tools.

Made-in-India localization: Domestic suppliers· showcased capabilities, aiming for the bulk of Tier-1 contracts amidst global supply scares.

Fastener-makers emphasised “Make-in-India” capabilities, leveraging Tamil Nadu’s advanced automotive belt to reduce imports and shorten lead times. The proliferation of local stainless steel and alloy fastener production is projected to save 10–15% in procurement costs for OEMs.

Exhibitors demonstrated robotic fastening lines, high-speed rivet machines, automated torque testing systems and quality-control tools, highlighting the industry’s embrace of Industry 4.0.

Fasteners designed for EV pack assemblies, chassis frames and battery enclosures underscored seamless convergence with automotive component manufacturing, expanding downstream opportunities.

Live use-case showcases delved into torque calibration, coating techniques, surface treatment processes and inline quality check vital for aerospace, defence and EV-grade applications.

The Indian auto component sector posted a $453 million trade surplus in FY 25, with exports reaching $23 billion — a YoY increase of 8%.

Fasteners, as essential components, contribute meaningfully to this export growth, especially given demand surges in CIS (+35%), Latin America (+21%) and Southeast Asia. These markets increasingly source value-added mechanical parts from India.

ACMA’s (The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India) leadership emphasised that technological investment and materials localization will be key to sustaining this momentum.

Indian fastener manufacturers are reportedly initiating procurement talks with major OEMs, including TVS and Hyundai, with tenders for engine mount bolts, chassis fasteners and rear-axle rivets.

Conversations with Latin American and CIS distributors signified the emergence of distributors for corrosion-resistant automotive fasteners and aerospace-grade screws.

Integrated presence in the aftermarket show sparked interest in fastener kits, torque tool and specialised ancillary packaging solutions.

Anuj Mathur, MD of Future Market Events, remarked:“The India Fastener Show is tailored to unite fastener, automotive and engineering professionals… this is the place to discover innovations and connect with reliable suppliers.”

With over 40 industry associations -including ACMA, ECMA, SAEINDIA -addressing raw material policies, standards and digital quality management, the event catalysed strategic collaboration.

India Fastener Show 2025 reinforced its evolving role – not just as basic hardware suppliers but as tech-driven, export-oriented enablers. By hosting over 150 fastener manufacturers, enabling OEM sourcing and aligning with Industry 4.0 and localisation trends, the show marked a significant step in redefining fasteners as catalysts for high-value industrialisation.

The Auto Components Show 2025 reinforced Chennai’s stature as South India’s automotive nerve centre, fusing manufacturing excellence, aftermarket demand and burgeoning EV strategies under one roof. It served as both a business catalyst and innovation barometer, spotlighting the industry’s transition to sustainable mobility, digital integration and local strength.

For market watchers, the event confirmed one message: South India is accelerating into a globally competitive automotive ecosystem and this expo is driving the transformation.

As India capitalises on its $23 billion export run-rate, fastener makers – from Nandambakkam to the automotive corridor – are positioning themselves at the centre of a globally integrated manufacturing boom powered by smart automation and regional resilience.
