Mallika Srinivasan to lead PESB for one more year

The Government of India has reappointed Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director of Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), as the Chairperson of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) for another one-year term.

Her new term will start on 19 November 2025 and end on 18 November 2026, according to a release.Mallika Srinivasan first took charge as PESB Chairperson in April 2021. She replaced Rajeev Kumar, former IAS officer of the 1984 Jharkhand cadre. Her original term was for three years or till she turned 65. Later, in November 2024, the government extended her term till 18 November 2025. This is her second extension. The government is said to be satisfied with the way PESB has been selecting leaders for public sector companies. Officials note that PSU performance has been steady during her period.

With this extension, she will continue to lead the selection process for top posts in central public sector undertakings for another year.
