With a funding expectation of Rs 100 crore covering over 75 start-ups across early, growth & scale stages, the season aims to boost Tamil Nadu’s next wave of scalable start-ups via parameters of capital access, mentorship, market visibility and mass awareness.

The theme for this season is “Idhu Kanuvukkaana Garjanai”—“a roar for dreams”.

Over 25 institutional investors and more than 50 angel investors will take part in the second season.

Kumar Vembu, Founder & CEO of Mudhal Partners and Chief Mentor of Startup Singam, said that the platform has consistently showcased authentic founder journeys, and Season 2 builds on this foundation with greater ambition, deeper mentorship, and real capital commitment.

Co-founders Hemachandran and Balachander added that while Season 1 validated the depth and resilience of Tamil Nadu’s startup ecosystem, Season 2 is set to be sharper, bigger, and significantly more impactful.

Tamil Nadu Industries Minister T R B Rajaa launched the second season.

Startup Singam brings founders, investors, and the public onto one common stage, creating momentum that goes beyond individual startups, he said in a post on X.

The government will continue to encourage all angles of the start-up ecosystem, he added.

The first season of Startup Singam featured 39 startups and enabled over Rs 24 crore in deployed funding. Some success stories include Raptee EV, Kaigal Jobs, Savemom and Uru Custom Instruments.

Startup Singam – Season 2 will premiere on 25 January on Vijay TV and JioHotstar
