The meeting held at the conference hall of the District Collector office, Ramanathapuram in the presence of Jeeva Rishi Ahmed, Sikandar and other local officials to accelerate the development of the company’s proposed Rs.1000 crore non-leather footwear manufacturing facility.
Tamil Nadu government had signed an MoU with Phoenix Kothari Footwear Pvt Ltd. for the project during the Investors Meet. Through the project, Phoenix Kothari aims to create employment opportunities for around 10,000 particularly empowering women in the region.
“We are confident that this agreement between the Government of Tamil Nadu and our firm brings together key elements – a new factory in Ramanathapuram and employment opportunities predominantly focused on women empowerment in the region. With the strong support of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Ramanathapuram District Administration, we are committed to turning this vision into tangible industrial growth,” Rafiq Ahmed said.
