SEBI issued its observation letter to the exchange on 4 September, according to its status update.
National Stock Exchange of India filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI on 17 June 2026.
The proposed IPO includes an offer for sale by existing shareholders of up to 14.89 crore equity shares, amounting to 6 per cent of its paid-up capital. There is no fresh issue of shares and NSE will not be receiving any proceeds.
NSE’s IPO is one of the most anticipated issues this year. Recently, Reliance Industries owned Jio Platforms received approval for its proposed initial public offering. Both issues are expected to be the biggest ever in India, surpassing Hyundai Motor India’s IPO.
