Padma awards 2021

7 Padma Vibhushan, 10 Padma Bhushan and 102 Padma Shri awards were announced. Tamil Nadu bagged 11: 1 Padma Vibhushan (Singer SPB posthumous) and 10 Padma Shri. The state is unique in receiving 2 Padma Shri out of the total 5 awardees in Trade and Industry category. Sridhar Vembu (Zoho) and P Subramanian (Shanthi Gears, posthumous) bring this honour for Tamil Nadu.
