Ashok Leyland April sales up 9%

Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland posted a 9 per cent growth in vehicle sales in April 2026 when compared to last year.

The company’s overall sales grew 9 per cent to 14,646 units in April 2026 from 13,421 units in April 2025.

Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, said its domestic sales increased 14 per cent to 14,242 units in April 2026, when compared to the same period last year.

The medium and heavy commercial trucks segment’s domestic sales increased 15 per cent, while the bus segment saw a de growth of 22 per cent. The light commercial vehicle segment posted a 23 per cent growth in domestic sales in April 2026.

Including exports, the truck sales increased 15 per cent, while bus sales declined 30 per cent and light commercial vehicle segment increased 16 per cent, as per the company’s stock exchange filing.
