The project, aimed at fostering local manufacturing, was reviewed by Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State Jitin Prasada, according to an official statement.

Developed by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), the EMC will span 200 acres and is expected to attract investments worth ₹2,500 crore. It is projected to generate around 15,000 jobs and create robust infrastructure to support startups, MSMEs, and established electronics manufacturers.

“This cluster will build world-class infrastructure and aligns perfectly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a global manufacturing hub,” said Minister Vaishnaw. “It highlights our focus on job creation and the vision of a Viksit Bharat.”

The cluster will support a wide range of manufacturing sectors, including consumer and industrial electronics, automotive components, medical devices, communication equipment, and computer hardware. It will offer shared plug-and-play infrastructure and facilities such as factory sheds, utilities, hostels, skill development centres, and health services — all designed to lower operational and logistics costs.

Strategically located along key roadways like the Yamuna Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and in close proximity to Jewar International Airport and major rail networks, the cluster offers exceptional connectivity. It is also neighboured by several major industrial zones, including the Medical Device Park, MSME & Apparel Park, and the Aviation Hub.

This approval adds to India’s ongoing EMC initiative, under which approximately ₹30,000 crore has already been invested, drawing 520 companies and creating over 86,000 jobs nationwide. With the launch of this new cluster, India further strengthens its ambition to emerge as a leading global electronics manufacturing powerhouse.
