The agenda for this year was “Beyond Smart Manufacturing”. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated it.SME Minister T.M. Anbarasan was also present. Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers’ Association (AIEMA) hosted this event, which included over eight enormous rooms, 468 exhibitors, representing around 120 international brands that participated in this biennial expo.
Technology Spotlight of this event includes Artificial Intelligence & IoT, where AI-powered CNC systems, smart MES dashboards, predictive maintenance algorithms and data-integrated robotics were showcased by Siemens India and a host of European automation firms.
Collaborative robots designed for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), precision assembly cobots and automated mobile logistics units were hot attractions of the exhibition. Live demos revealed their utility in both MSME and enterprise-scale units.
Green manufacturing eco-efficient systems like dry-cutting machines, heat recovery systems and solar-enabled CNCs were exhibited, demonstrating sustainability-driven industrial innovation.
Metal 3D printing, hybrid additive-subtractive machines and composite resin printers for prototyping showed India’s readiness in tooling evolution.
As part of this event, the Global Manufacturing Conclave also took place. Panellists from top institutions and companies, such as IIT Madras, Bharat Forge and Siemens participated and discussed AI-driven competitiveness.
Engaging workshops such as Programmable Logic Controller Bootcamp (PLC), Computer-Aided Design, Computer-Aided CAD/CAM demos and robotics programming were also a part of this event.
This event provided vast networking opportunities through MSME Buyer-Seller Meet-ups, where business-to-business (B2B) interactions with overseas buyers.
There is a special area allocated in this event called Skill India Pavilion, where students from NTTF, PSG and CIPET showcased their projects.
The event recorded a considerable economic impact, with a total of 468 exhibitors, including 120 international participants. It attracted approximately 38,500 visitors and generated a business volume exceeding Rs 750 crore. Over 400 machines were sold during the event, contributing to the creation of more than 6,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
According to Vishwanathan, managing director of Viswajit Tools, the smooth layout, tech exposure and organisation were commended by stakeholders.
