The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the initiative, which is expected to offer seamless, cashless toll payments and improved transparency for commercial vehicle operators, according to a statement.
Under the agreement, Gro Digital Platforms will promote IDFC First Bank’s FASTag through Ashok Leyland’s dealership network.
The partnership is seen as a step towards creating a smarter and more connected logistics ecosystem in India. By integrating FASTag-enabled vehicles into its digital platform, Gro aims to provide fleet operators with real-time toll tracking, transparent billing, and effortless payment mechanisms—all contributing to more efficient fleet management.
In addition to digital tolling, the partnership also brings roadside assistance into the offering. IDFC First Bank will tap into Gro’s flagship Sadak Ka Saathi programme to extend comprehensive Road Side Assistance services to eligible FASTag customers in the commercial vehicle segment. The SKS service network will also serve as distribution points for FASTag issuance.
Mudasar Mohamed, CEO of Gro Digital Platforms, said the partnership supported their goal of building a tech-driven freight platform and improving efficiency for fleet partners. He added that FASTag integration was a key step and that their Sadak Ka Saathi service would benefit IDFC First Bank’s commercial vehicle users.
