ICICI Lombard launches probe into Whatsapp leak

ICICI Lombard is the second company to launch such a probe within a week, after Hatsun Agro reported a similar incident.

“A designated person of the company inadvertently uploaded certain information pertaining to an unaudited draft financial results for the quarter and nine months ended 31 December 2025, on the personal WhatsApp Status on 9 January 2026, at around 5:44 p.m.,” the company said in a stock exchange filing.

Upon becoming aware of this incident (within an hour), the designated person deleted the above WhatsApp Status from the phone, it said.
