Kia India Chief Sales Officer Joonsu Cho said the strong demand reflected customers’ trust in the brand, noting that both ICE and EV models have resonated well with Indian consumers. The company has recorded over 20,000 bookings for the Carens Clavis and more than 1,000 for the Carens Clavis EV.

The Carens Clavis blends SUV strength, MPV comfort, and family car versatility, featuring sliding, reclining, and one-touch tumble second-row seats, a segment-first Boss Mode for third-row access, dual 12.3-inch displays, Bose 8-speaker system, 64-colour ambient lighting, dual dashcam, and a climate control/infotainment swap switch.

The Carens Clavis EV, Kia’s first Made-in-India electric vehicle, comes with two battery options—51.4 kWh (ARAI-certified 490 km range, MIDC) and 42 kWh (ARAI-certified 404 km range, MIDC). It supports fast charging from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes via a 100 kW DC charger.

Both ICE and EV variants feature Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with over 20 autonomous safety features, along with 18 passive safety features such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Rear Occupant Alert, and a 360° surround view monitor.
