KPIT Technologies Founder, Chairman S.B. (Ravi) Pandit dies

KPIT Technologies Ltd’s Founder and Chairman S. B. (Ravi) Pandit died on Friday morning in Pune, according to news release from the company.

Over the last three decades, he has built and led organizations that combine world-class innovation with deep social purpose, as per the profile shared by the company.

KPIT Technologies a software-defined mobility firm has a presence in 15 countries across the globe focused on automotive engineering solutions.

KPIT’s engineering solutions power millions of vehicles across the US, Europe and Asia driving breakthroughs in autonomous mobility, electrification and clean energy technologies.

Pandit chaired Kirtane & Pandit Chartered Accountants (KPCA), one of the largest Indian-origin professional services firms with 1,200+ experts operating across 15 countries.

He co-founded and guided institutions such as Pune International Centre and Janwani, strengthened policy research through his support to the Centre for Sustainable Development at Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE) and advanced leadership development as President of Jnana Prabodhini.

He served on the Board of Thermax Ltd and also contributed to several key CII committees.

Ravi brought his experience to India’s clean-energy future as the only private-sector member of the Empowered Group for the National Green Hydrogen Mission.

He was an alumnus of the Sloan School of Management at MIT, USA, a gold-medalist Chartered Accountant and a recipient of honorary doctorates from Coventry University, Amity University, TVM University and EMB University.
