While commodity and currency trends remain key monitorables, these are being actively managed through localisation, calibrated pricing and operational efficiency, and overall industry sentiment remains positive heading into the peak demand season, the company said in a statement.
Sri City plant expected to commence operations in Q3 FY27 with compressor manufacturing, enhancing localisation and set to increase existing capacity for domestic and export demand, LG said.
The company said its second quarter net profit rose 25.7 per cent to Rs 489 crore from last year, despite elevated commodity prices, rupee depreciation and go-to-market investments to capture the upcoming festive season demand.
LG’s revenue from operations rose 19.5 per cent to Rs 7,380 crore in the second quarter from Rs 6,174 crore in the comparable period last year. EBITDA margin expanded 63 basis points to 9.5 per cent.
In the first half of FY2027, revenue grew 17.5 per cent to Rs 14,613 crore, while net profit rose 26.5 per cent to Rs 1,142 crore from last year.
The second quarter growth was balanced across volume and value, and across both mass and premium segments, LG said.
Both businesses contributed strongly – Home Appliances & Air Solution recorded its highest growth since listing, while Home Entertainment extended its run of double-digit growth to a third consecutive quarter on a high base. Television value market share reached a record high, and a fast-scaling export business complemented healthy domestic demand, reflecting growth that is broad-based and built to last, the company said.
“This performance reflects the broader strength of India’s consumer durables industry, which continues to benefit from rising disposable incomes, growing aspiration for premium products and deepening penetration across metro and emerging markets,” Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director, LG Electronics India, said.
“Moving beyond consumer electronics, we are expanding our footprint in the rapidly evolving B2B sector, by entering a new B2B vertical, Vehicle Solutions. Our foundational three-pillar strategy—Make-in-India, Make-forIndia, and Make-India-Global—will continue driving our ambitious growth trajectory across domestic and export markets,” he added.
