Onida: The Devil makes a comeback!

Onida, a household name in India since 1981, geared up for its second innings and announced “Onida rewired”(the company’s next strategic transformation, focusing on innovation, customer experience, and sustainable business growth) in India .

Onida a well known Television brand, had lost its ground amid intense competition from foreign brands.

Focusing on its comeback strategy, the company also unveiled its flagship 100- inch QD Mini LED television.

The QD Mini LED television will be 100 inches, ideal for premium homes, residences, hospitality projects and immersive home entertainment.

The company also plans to further strengthen its presence by expanding its footprint in India by opening 100 exclusive outlets within 2-3 years, focusing on tier 2 and tier 3 cities and also to enhance the customer service system with more than 400 service partners over the next 12 months.

Addressing a press conference in Chennai, Gunjan Srivastava, CEO and Managing Director of Onida Electronics Ltd., said, “Onida Rewired marks the beginning of our next phase of growth and reflects our vision to build a stronger, future-ready consumer technology company and Chennai and Tamil Nadu will play a pivotal role in our growth journey.”

Commenting on the launch of QD Mini LED television, Farooq Baig, Chief Business Officer, Onida Electronics Ltd., said, “Our new 100-inch QD Mini LED Television has been developed to meet these evolving expectations, bringing together advanced display technology, exceptional picture quality and intelligent performance.”
