The collaboration will bring globally benchmarked adhesive systems to India’s footwear manufacturing ecosystem, enabling manufacturers to enhance product performance, reliability and sustainability while benefiting from localized technical expertise and support, the company said in a statement.

The partnership will enable Indian footwear manufacturers to gain access from internationally benchmarked adhesive systems widely used in global sports footwear production, including solutions nominated by leading global brands, it added.

These high-performance adhesives are engineered to deliver strong bonding, durability and flexibility while supporting consistent output across high-volume manufacturing lines, the company said.

The adhesive systems introduced under this partnership comply with stringent global environmental and safety standards, including REACH, SVHC, Prop 65 and the U.S. Clean Air Act, while also aligning with ISO 14001 and RoHS requirements, Pidilite said.

Developed as low-VOC and non-flammable formulations, these products are compatible with modern application techniques and contribute to safer working environments and reduced environmental impact, it said.

“India is steadily emerging as a key hub for global footwear manufacturing, and partnerships like this play an important role in strengthening that ecosystem,” Sudhanshu Vats, Managing Director, Pidilite Industries Ltd, said.

“Our collaboration with Hwaseung Chemical enables us to bring advanced adhesive technologies that are already trusted in international markets. With Pidilite’s local expertise and technical support, we are confident this partnership will help manufacturers enhance productivity, maintain consistent quality and meet the evolving expectations of global brands,” he added.

“India represents one of the most dynamic and fast-growing footwear manufacturing hubs globally,” Chris Hyun, Vice-President, Hwaseung Group said.

“Partnering with Pidilite Industries Limited allows us to bring our globally trusted footwear adhesive technologies to this important market. By combining Hwaseung Chemical’s advanced formulations with Pidilite’s deep local expertise and technical service capabilities, we aim to support Indian manufacturers in achieving higher standards of performance, consistency and sustainability. We look forward to enabling footwear producers in India to meet the evolving requirements of leading global brands while enhancing manufacturing efficiency and product quality,” he added.
