The fund is structured through GIFT City’s International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) and invests substantially all its assets into the Sundaram Mid Cap Fund, a SEBI-registered domestic mutual fund with a long-term proven performance track record.  The fund opens for subscription on February 16, 2026. The minimum investment in the Sundaram India Mid Cap GIFT is USD 5,000 for both regular and direct plans.

“Through GIFT City, Sundaram AMC aims to expand access to India’s long-term growth story to global investors, particularly in the midcap segment. The fund enables USD-denominated offshore investing into India’s midcap segment, helping reduce currency and operational friction for international investors. The strategy focuses on long-term wealth creation, with the underlying Sundaram Mid Cap Fund having a track record of 23 years under the Regular Plan (since inception) and over 5.3x growth in 13 years with the Direct Plan (since introduction of Direct NAV),” Anand Radhakrishnan, Managing Director, Sundaram Asset Management Company said.

The Sundaram India Midcap GIFT is structured as a feeder fund that invests substantial assets in units of the Sundaram Mid Cap Fund, providing exposure to high-quality, scalable Indian midcap companies. The underlying portfolio is diversified across key domestic growth sectors, including industrial products, banks, financial services, healthcare services, and auto components — sectors aligned with India’s manufacturing, infrastructure, and consumption-led growth themes.

The GIFT City platform allows Sundaram AMC to offer globally compliant, tax-efficient investment structures to investors across the globe.

The IFSC framework enables seamless cross-border transactions, simplified tax compliance, and exemptions on certain capital gains, dividends, and interest income.

The fund is open to eligible global investors such as Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) Foreign Nationals and foreign institutional investors along with Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs).
