The Vijay administration has gone into a hectic huddle to come out with a new industrial policy for Tamil Nadu.
Ever since he took over as the Chief Minister of the State a month ago, Vijay has had several meetings with a wide range of industry leaders. Many top industrialists have had courtesy meetings with the Chief Minister. Industry sources said that the Chief Minister listened to their views and offered unambiguous support to their effort to push the economy of Tamil Nadu into higher orbit.
“We are in a deep learning process. We will do everything to boost the investment and job ecosystem in Tamil Nadu,” said a top source in the Vijay administration while requesting not to be quoted.
Sources indicated that job creation was on top of the priority of the government. In this context, sources said that the Chief Minister Vijay was particularly serious that the State should have high-end jobs as well. If sources were to go by, the Chief Minister was curious to understand why Tamil Nadu could not create high-end jobs though the State had such a terrific talent pool and played host to a number of higher education institutions. Discussions with the top authorities in the government suggested that the Vijay administration was ever so keen to have a distributed spread of industrial growth across the state to usher in a gender-agnostic job ecosystem
The maiden budget of the Vijay Government, slated early next month, is expected to give a clue or two to the roadmap of the TVK regime.
