TDB signs pact with Egee Pallet

The Technology Development Board (TDB), under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, has signed a loan agreement with Hyderabad-based Egee Pallet Pvt. Ltd. to support the commercialisation of an eco-innovative packaging project that converts wood and plastic waste into reusable transport accessories.

Under the agreement, the company will manufacture high-quality pallets, crates and boxes using waste materials, aiming to advance sustainable logistics infrastructure while promoting circular economy principles. Marketed under the brand name EGEE Pallet, these products are designed for automation compatibility and standardisation, catering to sectors such as pharmaceuticals, breweries, and logistics, according to an official statement.

“TDB remains committed to enabling Indian industries in developing eco-conscious manufacturing models,” said Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary, TDB. “This partnership with Egee Pallet Pvt. Ltd. signifies our support to scalable, waste-utilisation solutions aligned with national sustainability and logistics goals.”

The promoters of Egee Pallet said that the TDB support validated their vision of creating packaging solutions that were cost-effective, durable, environmentally responsible and globally competitive.
