The project, awarded under the state’s Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, covers solar pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacities. Each system will be equipped with an IoT-enabled remote monitoring system and a five-year warranty that includes repairs and maintenance.

The initiative aims to improve irrigation reliability and ensure sustainable water access in underserved and off-grid rural regions, reducing dependence on conventional power and supporting agricultural productivity, according to a statement.

“This empanelment from MSEDCL, worth ₹320 crores, is more than a business achievement—it is a mission-driven step towards empowering India’s farmers with clean, reliable, and sustainable water solutions,” said G. Soundararajan, Chairman, CRI Group.

Project execution will begin as per MSEDCL’s schedule, with CRI leveraging its expertise in large-scale solar deployments.

The company said it has already installed over 1.81 lakh solar pumping systems nationwide, supported by IoT-enabled smart monitoring solutions. These have saved more than 6,100 million kWh of electricity and preventing 4.8 million tons of CO₂ emissions.
