Marico to buy 60% stake in Cosmix for Rs 375 crore

Marico Ltd. has agreed to buy 60 per cent stake in Cosmix Wellness Private Ltd., which owns “Cosmix” one of India’s leading digital-first functional wellness brands for Rs 375 crore.

The brand offers a range of plant-based protein powders, fermented yeast protein powders, functional superfood blends and has recently launched functional foods like plant-protein pancake mixes and plant-protein bars, the company said.

Founded in 2019 by husband-wife duo Vibha Harish and Soorya Jagadish, Cosmix is known for its vegan, gut‑friendly formulations, built on a mission to promote holistic health through sustainable sourcing and a root-cause approach to wellness.

Going forward, Cosmix will focus on driving accelerated profitable growth, while broadening its footprint in adjacent wellness and nutraceutical categories through strategic new product launches, strengthening its multi‑channel distribution capabilities, and continuing to shape a distinctive premium brand built on innovation and differentiation.
