Over two decades, Southern Health Foods Private Ltd is key player in several health focused foods categories like packaged healthy foods including millets, oats, multi-grain products, health mixes, breakfast cereals, dry fruits, among others. Its flagship brand Manna is widely known for its healthy offerings in many emerging packaged foods categories like millet flour, baby foods and multigrain drink mix.

The addition of Manna adds further strength to RCPL’s foods and staples portfolio that includes brands like Udhaiyam, Independence and SiL, through building a strong business vertical in the growing millet-based foods segment. The acquisition reaffirms RCPL’s commitment towards the company’s core philosophy of offering the ’global quality at affordable price’ to the millions of consumers across the country, while working towards a significant presence in the area of health foods.

“Manna is one of the most trusted names in the health focused foods market in Tamil Nadu with noticeable presence in the adjoining states. It is known for healthy offerings like millet-based staples and mixes, drinks and baby food. Apart from adding muscle to RCPL’s packaged foods portfolio, Manna’s addition will help us serve consumers the best nutritious foods,” T. Krishnakumar, Director, Reliance Consumer Products Limited, said.

“With our strong distribution, R&D and supply chain capabilities, Manna would be made available in other geographies – eventually making it a household name across the country,” he said.

Southern Health Foods Private Ltd was incorporated on 16 April 2012. The turnover of SHFPL for the FY2024-25, FY2023-24 and FY2022-23 was Rs. 109.40 crore, Rs. 127.37 crore and Rs. 126.65 crore, respectively.
