TAMIL NADU CHIEF MINISTER M K Stalin has launched the Mudhalvar Marundhagam programme to provide affordable generic medicines at subsidised rates, focusing on low-income families. The initiative will see 1,000 Chief Minister’s Pharmacies coming up across the state. The programme aims to address the rising cost of healthcare, offering essential medications to those who struggle financially. By making healthcare more accessible, the scheme seeks to ease the burden on government hospitals and provide affordable treatment to all, especially economically disadvantaged communities.
