CG Power lands big order from PGCIL

CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. (CG), a Murugappa group company, has won a USD 74 million contract from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL)

The order is for the procurement of 765/400 KV 1-ph transformers for various 765 KV and 400 Kv class transformers and reactors. The supply of these critical components is expected to be completed over 18 to 36 months, according to a company release. This order underscores the strong position of CG Power in the high-voltage transformer market and its critical role in the country’s power infrastructure development. The 765kV class transformers are essential for efficient power transmission across long distances, supporting the expansion and stability of the national grid.
