The centre will serve as a dedicated business continuity hub, housing teams that support Ford’s accounting, credit, treasury and business operations worldwide.
Spread across 82,000 square feet, the investment in the centre reiterates the standing of Tamil Nadu as the country’s leading destination for global capability centre, engineering and technology-led innovation.
The new facility can accommodate 800 team members. It is designed to support Ford’s global operations and has 230 workstations per floor, which will support high-value business, hybrid working, technology, engineering and innovation-led services.
“FBS India has spent 25 years building the kind of depth and capability that lets us take
end-to-end ownership of Ford’s select global processes,” said Gangapriya Chakraverti, India Site Head and Managing Director, Ford Business Solutions, in a release.
Inaugurating the new facility, S. Keerthana, Minister for Industries, Government of Tamil Nadu, said, “Ford Business Solutions’ decision to open this centre in Coimbatore is a strong endorsement of Tamil Nadu’s standing as a destination for global capability and knowledge-based industries.”
