Expected to positively impact over 30,000 citizens annually, the centre will offer comprehensive support including eligibility screening, documentation assistance, and application facilitation for both state and central welfare schemes. By 2028, the initiative hopes to touch the lives of more than 90,000 individuals, according to a statement.
At the core of this mission are around 200 community-based female entrepreneurs, known as Adhikaar Sakhis, who will work alongside male volunteers to deliver personalized, grassroots support. Beneficiaries will also be issued a Yojana Card—a unique digital identity enabling real-time access to welfare benefits and service tracking.
“The Adhikaar Connect Kendra marks a pivotal step toward an equitable and empowered society. Our focus is not just on access, but on dignity, digital inclusion, and self-reliance. This initiative is about transforming how citizens experience public services,” said Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head – Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication & Social, HMIL.
The centre will also double as a hub for financial literacy, digital tools, and skilling programmes, further enhancing its role in citizen empowerment.
