LMW mulls new sectors including pharma

LMW Ltd (formerly Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd) has proposed amendment of its object clause of memorandum of Association to enable the company to expand into business relating to pharmaceuticals and life sciences, specialty chemicals and advanced materials, electric vehicles and mobility among others.

Considering the evolving business environment, technological advancements and the emergence of new-age industries and technology-oriented businesses, the board of Directors of the company considered it appropriate to further expand the scope of objects to be pursued, the company said in a stock exchange filing.

Renewable Energy, Electronics Manufacturing, and Robotics and Automation, together with the allied products, technologies and services connected are the other sectors listed by LMW.

The proposed amendment is expected to facilitate future business growth and ensure that the Memorandum of Association appropriately reflects the Company’s evolving business objectives, it added.
