The company had applied to the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Limited (MPIDC) for land allocation for its proposed greenfield project. In response, MPIDC today issued a letter of allotment, granting 45.13 acres of undeveloped land on a 99-year lease in Village Jahangirpura, Tehsil Sehore, District Sehore (M.P.), for the establishment of the facility, the company stated in a statement.
The site will house a state-of-the-art transformer plant with an annual production capacity of 45,000 MVA, serving both domestic and select export markets.
This development follows the company’s earlier disclosure from the Board meeting held on January 28, 2025, when formal approval was granted for the greenfield project. The estimated investment for the facility stands at ₹712 crore (net of taxes), with funding expected to be sourced through a mix of internal accruals, equity, and/or debt.
The project is slated for completion in FY 2027–28 and is aligned with the company’s long-term vision to capitalise on rising market demand.
