Nanayam Vikatan staged another impressive function to present and applaud successful entrepreneurs of Tamil Nadu at the Nanayam Vikatan Business Star Awards function under ten categories.
The function was also remarkable for the presence of a number of business leaders and other glitterati of Chennai, normally reticent to be present at social functions! Presenting the lifetime achievement Award to G Rajendran, founder of G R Thangamaligai group of institutions. Chief guest A Vellayan, Advisor, Murugappa Group, stressed the need to research and write case studies on successful entrepreneurs of India based on their contributions.
Nanayam Vikatan’s efforts are professional and elaborate. Apart from B Srinivasan, MD of the Vikatan Group, the editorial duo T E Manavalan and A R Kumar, deserve commendation for scouting the state companies’ excellence with such passion.
An interesting part of this function was the comprehensive address by M Ponnuswami, Chairman CII (Tamil Nadu). In dozens of meetings in multiple platforms, Ponnuswami has been projecting the very many attractions of the state as an investment destination of choice. Interestingly, he takes the case of several companies, both foreign and Indian, to policymakers to get quick reliefs or clearances. The excellent rapport CII and Ponnuswami have built with the ministers and bureaucrats are effectively utilised to bring about a visible, welcome transformation in the accessibility to policy makers and quick redressal of pending issues.
