So far, IOB has not seen any particular product or sector struggling because of West Asia crisis, its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ajay Kumar Srivastava told analysts. “I had also expected some impact. However, the country has shown great resilience. I was expecting an impact from when the first Trump tariffs were imposed. Despite that, strong domestic demand and consumption, as well as exporters’ ability to diversify from one country to several countries, have limited the impact. Binod Kumar, MD & CEO, Indian Bank said. Indian Bank expects a credit growth of 13-14 per cent for FY2027, while IOB also expects minimum credit growth in similar range. Old private sector bank Karur Vysya Bank, which has exposure to sectors like textile, has also not seen any stress so far, according to its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Babu. He also said the effect of El Nino will be minimum on the bank. KVB aims for credit growth of 1 per cent or 2 per cent above the industry.
