Located near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the hub is designed to serve a wide spectrum of EV users—from private owners to commercial fleets—according to a statement.
The charging station, housed within the premises of The Leela Mumbai Hotel, is equipped with eight DC fast chargers, each capable of delivering up to 120 kW. With 16 charging bays, it can charge 16 EVs simultaneously, making it one of the highest-capacity EV charging stations in Mumbai.
“The launch of this fast-charging hub, developed in collaboration with Tata Motors, reflects our integrated approach to driving India’s green mobility transition. Powered entirely by renewable energy, it sets a benchmark for future-ready EV infrastructure,” said Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power.
The hub will operate 24/7, catering to airport travelers, hotel guests, ride-hailing drivers, logistics operators, and commuters along the Andheri–BKC–South Mumbai corridor. It is open to all EV users, with exclusive benefits for TATA.ev customers, such as up to 25% discounts and priority charging access.
“The MegaCharger hub is a milestone in our mission to build fast, reliable, and widespread charging infrastructure,” said Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd.
This latest addition to the TATA.ev MegaCharger network is part of TPEM’s broader effort to create a robust EV ecosystem in India.
Tata Power, a leading EV charging provider, has already deployed over 1,000 green charging points in Mumbai, and more than 5,500 across the country, including over 1.4 lakh home chargers and 1,200+ bus charging points across 630+ cities and towns.
Charging services will be accessible via the Tata Power EZ Charge App, which currently has over 4 lakh registered users, and will soon be integrated into the iRA.ev Connected Car app for TATA.ev owners.
