Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global IT services and consulting leader, has announced the launch of three new centres in Europe aimed at accelerating innovation in the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) sector. The company has inaugurated two new Automotive Delivery Centres in Munich and Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, along with an Engineering Centre in Romania.

The expansion marks a significant step in TCS’ strategy to support the automotive industry’s shift toward next-generation mobility. According to the company, these new hubs are designed to help global automotive clients speed up the development and deployment of cutting-edge vehicle technologies, including autonomous driving, digital cockpits, infotainment, safety systems, and connected services.

“These new centres will position TCS at the forefront of automotive innovation, enabling us to deliver state-of-the-art solutions in autonomous driving and advanced cockpit systems,” said Regu Ayyaswamy, Senior Vice President & Global Head, Internet of Things (IoT) and Digital Engineering at TCS.

The delivery centres in Germany will focus on delivering TCS’ software-led services to European automakers, while the Romanian engineering centre will drive early-stage design and development of automotive software platforms. Together, the hubs will enhance TCS’ end-to-end capabilities in chip-to-cloud technologies and SDV engineering.

Strategically located close to major European OEMs, the centres are already staffed by over 100 professionals and are set to collaborate with more than 2,000 SDV engineers across TCS’ global network. This talent pool will support the development of next-gen platforms that span the full automotive product lifecycle—from concept and prototyping to production and post-launch services.

“With the launch of these new centres, we are deepening our commitment to support OEMs in building the next generation of intelligent, connected, and sustainable vehicles,” said Anupam Singhal, President and Business Group Head, Manufacturing, TCS. “This expansion is a key milestone in our journey toward Future-Ready Mobility—where software, engineering, and design, backed by AI, converge to deliver safer, more personalized, and continuously enriching experiences for drivers and passengers.”

Europe has long been a key market for TCS in the automotive space, with the company serving major OEMs in the region for over 25 years. TCS now operates from 62 offices across Europe and employs more than 15,000 professionals in the region. The company has played a critical role in developing digital cockpit systems, vehicle electrification, autonomous technology, and connected car ecosystems, leveraging expertise in digital engineering, cloud, IoT, and generative AI.
