The Tamil Nadu Minister for Information Technology & Digital Services, Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, inaugurated the centre at Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub at the Anna University campus.
TNTTFC is an initiative funded by the Tamil Nadu Government under the Tamil Nadu Innovation Initiatives (TANII).
The centre aims to establish a state-wide hub to bridge the gap between academic institutions & research organisations and start-ups & industries by facilitating efficient transfer of DeepTech innovations. “This will ensure that Tamil Nadu’s leading IP and research ecosystem translates into economic and societal benefits,” said a release.
TNTTFC is intended to address systemic challenges such as fragmented networks, regulatory barriers and commercialisation hurdles. “This will enable Tamil Nadu to compete at an international level in fields like AI, semiconductors, biotechnology, clean energy etc.” Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, said.
TNTTFC will act as a centralised platform for technology commercialisation and global collaborations, including IP management, licensing and market analysis.
Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub is funded by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, Government of Tamil Nadu and industry partners. It functions under the Information Technology & Digital Services, Government of Tamil Nadu.
