New COO for Residency Hotels

The Residency Hotels, owned by Chennai-based Appasamy Group, a real estate developer, has announced the appointment of Prakash Jayadevan as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In this role, he will look after the group’s operations, improve performance across hotels and ensure quality service for all guests.

“We are happy to welcome Prakash Jayadevan as our new COO. His strong experience, leadership and understanding of hotel operations will help us as we grow and build a stronger brand. He will play an important role in bringing more value to our customers, staff and partners,” said B. Gopinath, CEO of The Residency Hotels, in a release.

The appointment comes at a time when The Residency Hotels is entering a new phase of growth and brand expansion. Jayadevan has several years of experience in hotel management and operations. He is known for enhancing service quality and business performance in the hospitality industry.

“It is an honour to take up this role at a time when The Residency Hotels is growing its brand. I look forward to building a culture of excellence for our teams and guests. With our belief in ‘Hospitality with Heart’, we will continue to give the best experience to our guests and strengthen our position in the industry,” the release quoted Jayadevan as saying.

Before joining The Residency Hotels, Jayadevan served in senior roles with Pioneer Holiday Resorts Limited, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International (India and Nepal) and The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts.
