TN CM Vijay wins trust vote

Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay led TVK government on Wednesday won the trust vote on the floor of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly with 144 legislators voting in support.

22 MLAs voted against the confidence motion, while 5 abstained from voting.

Ahead of trust vote, DMK MLAs, led by leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin, staged a walk out from the Assembly .

PMK and BJP abstained from voting. While one faction of the AIADMK voted in favour, the  other voted against the motion.
